Greek Delicacies

Today is the Greek festival in Gold Coast, so, I decided to dedicate today’s article to Greek sweets.

The Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets had different food stalls, from popcorn to baked goodies, and the Greek dessert stall, Ilias the Greek.

There was a large dessert in the middle of the display which looked absolutely divine, which was an awesome first impression. The stall’s décor theme were blue and white, colours of Greece’s flag, to give a more Greek ambiance.

Tasting Ilias the Greek’s sweets was a first for us. We bought a container of an assortment of Greek sweets, which cost A$10. My favourite was the baklava.

The Greek sweets!

We were told that the sweets will be edible for two weeks. True enough, it lasted! It was still edible when we brought it to Singapore. It's a fantastic gift to bring home if you're on holiday in Gold Coast as it celebrates the Greek food in Australia.

If you’re visiting the Beachfront Markets and want to taste these traditional desserts, do visit this stall!
