Visiting Chevron Island

Chevron Island is another interesting place to explore in Gold Coast. It is known as a village where you can escape from the hustle and bustle of Surfers Paradise. To get there, all you need to do is cross a bridge. Chevron Island is about 5 minutes walk from Ferny Avenue.

Walk down Thomas Drive from Ferny Avenue to Chevron Island.

Chevron Island sign at the bridge's entrance from Surfers Paradise. This is Thomas Drive.

On the bridge's walking trail to Chevron Island.

The Nerang River runs between Surfers Paradise and Chevron Island. Surfers Paradise is on the left-hand side of this picture (the tall buildings) and Chevron Island is on the right-hand side of this picture (the short buildings).

The end of the bridge, in Chevron Island.

Stanhill Drive sign. This is part of Chevron Island's residential area.

Neighbourhood in Chevron Island. You can observe the quaint and peaceful village neighbourhood.

This is one of the roundabouts in Chevron Island.

We continued walking straight.

We passed Parnoo Street to get to Chevron Island's shopping and dining area.

The shops are located after this roundabout.

This street is Burra Street.

There are a couple of shops around, and hair salons and cafes too.

Further down the shopping area.

Beyond the shopping area.

Chevron Island is a pleasant place to visit. The quiet walk was enjoyable. It was our first experience of a village in Queensland, a relaxing one indeed.
