Go explore with a go card

The go card is a card which you can use to pay for transportation by Translink. This card can be used in trains, buses and ferries around South Queensland (Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, etc.). It's cheaper to pay for transportation through the go card than buying a one-way ticket. go cards can be bought in Coolangatta Airport from the tourism information booth and other retailers around Gold Coast, depending on the one nearest to your location. Do note that you can get a refund of the balance in your go card at the end of your holiday in Gold Coast or anytime during your holiday if you return your card.

To check for the nearest go card retailers and the places which offer refunds, do check this link to Translink's website: http://jp.translink.com.au/tickets-and-fares/go-card/locations

To save 20% of your fare, travel during the off-peak hours. These hours are between 9am and 3.30pm and after 7pm on weekdays and all day on weekends and public holidays.
You can top-up your go card in buses and tourist information booths. If you're going to top-up in buses, you need to notify the bus driver upon entering the bus, before tapping your card. You can top-up with cash.
